As a Market Manager, you will guide a team of Bacardi Account Managers (BAMs) in your market to deliver sales goals and objectives within key customer accounts with excellence and celebrating the team's achievements, big or small. As a Market Manager you will gain exposure to different elements of the sales and marketing organization in order to develop and execute customer strategies and business plans. You will also maintain an account list of top influential accounts in your market and deliver KPI goals.

You are an important day-to-day face of Bacardi towards the distributors, customers, and agency partners (ambassadors or event staff) in your dedicated territory and will act as the key contact for those customers, driving new business and maintaining sustainable long-lasting relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE

  • Coach, lead and inspire a team of talented direct reports to develop programs, promotions and activations and evaluate performance against sales forecast and quarterly goals.
  • Coach direct reports to support distributor relationship management. Develop and support development plans for all direct reports
  • Lead regular team meetings by establishing an understanding of the team's goals and objectives and supporting the BAMs development efforts with direction and a solutions-based approach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally utilizing Bacardi resources and distributor partnerships to achieve maximize performance and sales efforts by achieving increased volumes while building long lasting business opportunities in your market and account universe.
  • Collaborate and directly influence distributor territory manager and sales consultants to achieve execution of local market priorities and plan
  • Development and strengthening relationships with key customer accounts to develop customer strategies and plans that translate into "win/win" scenarios through impactful presentations and evaluating return on investments.
  • Manage your team's budget effectively and efficiently by applying thoughtful financial decisions to increase profitability and demonstrating strong financial acumen with an understanding of retail finances, pricing and logistics.
  • Provide market and competitive brand updates to the commercial team to include timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors.
  • Serve as leader of market off-premise channel. Build local market sales execution plan in conjunction with state manager and region director to "own" sales target and KPIs. Drive local market execution to achieve these targets.
  • Engage with new and existing customers to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Partner with accounts and serve as business consultant to support account objectives. Manage Class B accounts which are critical to Bacardi's business.

SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required
  • Ideally 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the spirits or beverage industry and 2 years of off-premise experience preferred
  • You understand the off-premise business and the critical business factors that drive and impact customers' business decisions.
  • By living a Founder's mentality, you are a leader and owner of your market passionate about driving business results.
  • You are influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed, giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi Primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
  • You will be based in Charleston, South Carolina. Oversee Greenville, Hilton Head and Myrtle Beach.
