Job description

What does it mean to join the Sandhurst Apartment Management team? By becoming a maintenance technician at one of our distinctive apartment communities, you’ll earn both competitive earnings and a benefits package designed to meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families. As our newest maintenance technician, your direct interaction with residents and vendors will place you as one of company's on-site representatives.

Essential Functions:

As a maintenance technician with Sandhurst, you will:

  • Understand and follow proper safety procedures for company and community, including maintaining cleanliness and protection of work spaces
  • Uphold all company policies, goals, and values
  • Perform on-site maintenance functions
  • Assist supervisor in completing assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Make available apartments ready for move-in
  • Report any maintenance problems to the supervisor
  • Participate in an ongoing community maintenance and improvement plan
  • Maintain physical condition of the community
  • Follow-up on service requests to assure the highest quality customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the achievement of the community’s annual budget plan by controlling expenses
  • Perform other responsibilities falling under the maintenance technician role as directed

Qualifications:

To join Sandhurst as a maintenance technician, you’ll need to:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (technical school preferred)
  • Be HVAC certified - REQUIRED
  • Have effective verbal communication skills
  • Possess general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service
  • Have one year’s experience in maintenance (apartment maintenance preferred)
  • Be able to work weekends, after hours, and/or holidays
