Brief Overview of Position:

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Data Scientist role to support a federal client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. The Senior Data Scientist supports data engineering, analytics, data processing, workload optimization, and development of reusable analytical assets supporting FTC investigations, litigation support, rulemaking, research, and economic analysis activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop analytics workflows.
  • Support large-scale data analysis initiatives.
  • Validate analytical outputs.
  • Support: Data ingestion, Data transformation, Data staging, ETL/ELT processing
  • Develop: Python scripts, R modules, SQL solutions, SAS processes, Stata-based analytical support
  • Create reusable: SOPs, Workflows, Notebooks, Scripts, Documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of analytics experience.
  • Experience working with large data sets.
  • Experience using: Python, R, SQL, SAS, Stata
