Role Description: Arcadis is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing Resilience Water team. This hybrid position can be based in any of our Ohio offices or in Detroit, Michigan.

In this role, you'll help design and deliver the critical infrastructure that provides safe, reliable water services to communities across the region. Working alongside industry-leading engineers, project managers, and technical specialists, you'll contribute to a diverse portfolio of municipal water and wastewater projects, gaining exposure to every phase of project development, from planning and design through construction and commissioning. Role Accountabilities: As a member of our multidisciplinary project team, you will support the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities, helping clients modernize infrastructure, improve operational reliability, and achieve long-term resilience goals. Design electrical systems including power distribution, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, lighting, instrumentation, communications, and control systems for water and wastewater facilities.

Prepare engineering deliverables such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, specifications, plans, and design calculations using industry-standard design software. Perform power system analyses and technical studies to support safe, efficient, and resilient facility operations. Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget.

Support construction activities through submittal reviews, responses to RFIs, field investigations, and startup/commissioning support. Participate in client interactions, technical discussions, and proposal development while helping identify innovative solutions that address evolving infrastructure needs. Travel: Occasional travel may be required to support client meetings, site visits, field investigations, and project delivery activities.

What You'll Bring: You are a motivated engineer with experience in electrical design and power distribution systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities. You enjoy working in a collaborative environment, take ownership of your work, and are passionate about delivering practical solutions to complex infrastructure challenges. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline 5 years of experience supporting water/wastewater projects EIT certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license Why Arcadis. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $80,461- $132,761. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
