Proficiency with tools like SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and frameworks such as Apache Spark or Airflow is typically expected, while data engineering certifications are a plus. Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members are crucial soft skills in this environment. These attributes are essential for efficiently building data infrastructure and collaborating with fast-moving startup teams to enable data-driven decision-making.

  • Quantify expected business benefits including productivity gains, operational efficiencies, revenue opportunities, cost reductions, working capital improvements, and enhanced decision-making.

  • Establish and apply financial prioritization frameworks to evaluate initiatives based on expected ROI, business value, implementation costs, strategic contribution, and risk reduction.

  • Partner with business and finance leaders to assess investment opportunities and ensure resources are allocated to the highest-value initiatives.

  • Define success metrics and KPIs for analytics products and reporting solutions.

  • Measure and monitor adoption, usage, and business impact of BI products.

  • Track realized value after deployment and continuously refine product priorities based on lessons learned.

  • Provide objective recommendations, including when initiatives do not justify investment.
