What is a starting job?

'Starting' jobs typically refer to entry-level positions that are suitable for individuals beginning their careers or entering a new field. These roles often require minimal experience and provide on-the-job training to help employees gain necessary skills. Starting jobs can include positions such as administrative assistants, retail associates, customer service representatives, or interns. They are a great way to build foundational skills, gain work experience, and explore career interests. Many people use starting jobs as stepping stones to more advanced roles within their chosen industries.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a starting professional?

To thrive in a starting or entry-level professional role, you typically need a relevant educational background, basic industry knowledge, and a willingness to learn.
