What does it mean to start babysitting?

Starting babysitting means taking on the responsibility of caring for children, typically in the absence of their parents or guardians. Babysitters ensure the safety, well-being, and entertainment of the children, often by preparing meals, supervising play, and helping with homework or bedtime routines. To begin babysitting, you may need to gain some experience, learn basic first aid, and communicate with parents about expectations. It's important to be reliable, patient, and attentive to the needs of the children in your care.

Can my 13 year old babysit my 7 year old?

Start babysitting at age 13 is common, but whether a 13-year-old can babysit a 7-year-old depends on local laws, the child's maturity, and the babysitter's experience.
