Job description

Overview
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of their assigned Starbucks location, including supervising team members, supporting store operations, and working side-by-side with team members to serve quality products and provide excellent customer service. This position helps ensure company and Starbucks standards are consistently maintained and assists with leading store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
Responsibilities
Starbucks Assistant Store Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to guests
  • This is a working management role; work alongside our baristas during shifts by preparing & providing quality beverages & food products, stocking, replenishing, and deep cleaning as needed
  • Supporting the Store Manager in executing weekly, daily and monthly sales plans
  • Assisting with scheduling team members according to business needs
  • Supporting cash management through the daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of operating funds
  • Assisting with continued training and new-hire training plans
  • Providing positive coaching and feedback to team members for performance improvement
  • Continuous coaching on new beverage recipes, food items and company standards
  • Assisting with inventory management, including ordering, maintaining proper par levels, and ensuring appropriate product inventory
  • Helping oversee daily store operations and providing leadership to team members in the Store Manager's absence
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment on par with all appropriate company, state, and federal standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What are we looking for?
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work a variety of opening, closing, and mid shifts as needed
  • Previous experience as a Starbucks manager required
  • Proven experience managing a team through motivation, coaching, and development
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use independent judgment and anticipate customer needs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with computers and office applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases)
  • Ability to analyze financial information, prepare budgets, and make informed business decisions
  • Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
  • Responsibility, reliability, and honesty
