Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our 8 Star Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations with attention to detail while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves loading and unloading products, and maintaining a safe and efficient delivery route. Drivers must report to and be able to commute on workdays to WNC3 in Tarboro, NC. No prior delivery experience is requiredโ€”just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicles (vans/box trucks) across assigned delivery routes.
  • Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring all deliveries are handled with care.
  • Handle heavy lifting and moving of products, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety.
  • Follow GPS coordinated routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
  • Follow delivery schedules and adapt quickly to traffic or route changes.
  • Use handheld technology to scan packages, track deliveries, solve issues, and record delivery confirmations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure good working condition.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety of company property/supplies
  • Provide additional support as needed to complete customer deliveries.
  • Uphold high standards for safety, quality and customer service
  • Communicate any issues or problems to management immediately

Additional Information
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid, non-probationary driverโ€™s license
  • Clean driving history
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred but not required

  • Commercial driving experience and regulatory knowledge
  • Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems
  • Experience with warehouse operations and logistics
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
