Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the professional operation of the Star Rewards' Center to ensure an exciting environment for guests. In all interactions, the position is responsible for providing STAR Experience to guests and fellow team members a first priority.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Shooting Star Casino team members will always deliver excellent guest service to our guests and fellow co-workers.

Follows established policies and procedures in each function of the Star Rewards' Center to ensure that quality standards are being met.
  • Records and researches various coupons for monthly direct mail, currency exchange, birthday packages, anniversary packages, return vouchers.
  • Prepares auditing documentation to comply with internal gaming controls.
  • Accounts for any shortages or overages.
  • Records information for Wheelchair reservations.
  • Prepares incident adjustment forms, address changes Star Rewards' Center voucher form and redemption void forms.
  • Processes Star Rewards' Center applications.
  • Processes player redemptions for cash or prizes.
  • Collects guest's coats and completes appropriate paperwork for coat check.
  • Level 1- Complimentary authority for buffets only.

Listens and responds to guest questions and concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Answers guest questions regarding casino promotions or special events.
  • Records guest complaints and directs the complaint to the appropriate personnel.
  • Refers guests to appropriate department for issue resolution.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 2 months related experience.
Certificates, Licenses & Designations
Must meet all licensing requirements as prescribed by the Tribal- State Compact for Gaming.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply internal gaming controls.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using a personal computer and related software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of and ability in using Oasis- Players Tracking System.
  • Skills of determining alternatives that would correct a situation to provide effective guest services.
  • Ability to display decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently is self-motivated and display outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as gaming controls and procedure manuals, safety rules, and operation and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to follow procedures and give attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the work of the group successful and effective.
  • Ability to identify and carry out actions to achieve goals while considering risks.
  • Ability to frequently stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height.
  • Ability to reach below shoulder height.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
  • Ability to frequently stoop and bend.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 25-50 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise levels. Minimal exposure to Blood Bourne Pathogens.
  • Continuous exposure to moderate concentration levels of tobacco smoke.
