Schedule: 12 Hour rotating shifts (Blue 1: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Blue 2: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Gold 1: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Gold 2: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Compensation: Starting at $23.00 per hour. Shift premium applies to night shift positions.

Summary:

As a Technical Operator, you will safely operate manufacturing equipment while assembling and inspecting lithium-ion battery components to support daily production goals. You will operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, maintain accurate production records, and contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment.

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced manufacturing position that requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movement, operating production equipment and tools, and safely working from ladders or elevated work platforms when required. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on, physically active work where safety, quality, and productivity are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare equipment, materials, and workstations for production.
  • Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures and standardized work instructions.
  • Load raw materials into production equipment and monitor equipment performance to maintain continuous production.
  • Assemble lithium-ion battery components while meeting established production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Perform in-process inspections to verify products meet quality specifications and identify defects or abnormalities.
  • Document production activity, quality inspections, downtime, scrap, and non-conforming materials within the Global Manufacturing Execution System (GMES).
  • Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety hazards to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Perform basic equipment operation, equipment changeovers, and operational troubleshooting as trained.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and other production equipment.
  • Move materials, parts, and finished products throughout the production area following established material handling procedures.
  • Follow all company safety, environmental, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production, quality, and safety goals.
  • Successfully complete all required training and maintain qualifications required for the position.
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions

The LINK Production area requires employees to regularly reach equipment, fixtures, and production components located above shoulder height while safely performing assigned job duties. Employees must be able to safely access all assigned work areas, including the use of ladders or elevated work platforms when required, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • One (1) year or more of manufacturing, production, assembly, machine operation, warehouse, construction, automotive, or other industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Experience working in a physically demanding, fast-paced production environment is preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This position is performed in a high-volume manufacturing environment and is considered physically demanding.

  • Stand and walk for up to 12-hour shifts, excluding scheduled breaks.
  • Perform repetitive motions throughout the workday, including frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and overhead work.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequently reach above shoulder height and perform work at varying elevations.
  • Safely climb, descend, and work from ladders and elevated work platforms when required.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform detailed assembly work requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Work safely around moving machinery and automated production equipment.
  • Maintain focus and productivity while working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with demanding production schedules.

  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and any additional PPE required for the assigned work area.
