Job Description

Job Summary

This position provides the overall leadership for the Tucson site within technical operator, Mechanics and works very close with all departments on site as QA, Engineering, Supervisor can give direction directly to all associates on Dosimetry, QA, Technical operator, Material handler and Mechanics. Works closely with Production Scheduler to run monthly plan. Develops and drives the overall plant for the operation.

Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Job Responsibilities

  • Associate training for the associates have training on procedures and Apriso , SAP systems, B eagle and eDHR.

  • Close Production order in edhr.

  • Leadership and support of all safety aspects of the plant warehouse.

  • Ensures all material handing equipment conform to the safety requirements of the plant.

  • Coordinate Production Orders (Irradiation Orders).

  • Coordinate with the Production Scheduler to align on the monthly production plan.

  • Coordinate mechanics for the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance plans.

  • Coordinate activities between the technical operator and material handlers.

  • Ensure production orders are complete, released, and ready to be processed.

  • Ensure executed production orders are properly posted (confirmed and accurately recorded).

  • Maintain and report all production performance metrics, including OEE.

  • Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives for processes and equipment.

  • Ensure equipment availability for maintenance execution.

  • Coordinate with material handlers to ensure material availability and that work orders are ready for processing.

  • Make operational decisions in cases of equipment downtime, always prioritizing safety and product quality.

  • Provide training to associates on procedures and systems such as Apriso, SAP, B-Eagle, and eDHR.

  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in manufacturing, or related field required.

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, or relevant field preferred.

  • 5 yrs. equipment operation experience preferred

  • Previous leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • SAP/MES knowledge (plus)

  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate with various organizational levels

  • Computer skills (including Microsoft Office)
