The Opportunity:

SAIT has partnered with the Solicitor General and Alberta Advanced Education to deliver Standard First Aid Training at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC). This instructional opportunity to scheduled to deliver in-person training on site at CCC.
ย 
The tentative start date is November 2026 to August 2027ย 
ย 
Programing will run Monday to Friday (with the exception of Statutory holidays), max 6 hours per day.
Approximately 10 courses per year
ย 
The ideal candidate would be certified as a Standard First Aid Instructor and H2S Alive Instructor.ย 
ย 
Police Information Check is required as part of the onboarding process
ย 
Qualifications
  • Required
  • Certified Standard First Aid Instructor with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
  • Authorized Red Cross Provider
  • Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in English reading and vocabulary
  • Comfortable speaking to the public
  • Positive & respectful attitude
  • Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to organize and present written information

  • Desired:
  • H2S Alive Instructor Certification would be considered an asset
  • Training and knowledge of adult learning fundamentals
  • Formal training or education in facilitation or teaching
  • Formal training in online technologies
