Summary/Objective
EnviroSmart D.B.A ES-Integrated is seeking qualified Environmental Services Site Superintendent to support the Sumter, South Carolina Division that has performed work on HAZWOPER and/or Industrial sites. A Site Superintendent will support a wide variety of environmental field services and project support. Resume must demonstrate an experience performing the listed or otherwise related duties. A Site Superintendent employee must have the ability to learn, train, grow and advance in a team-oriented work environment. Must have a minimum of 3+ years' experience performing and overseeing and leading crews of 3 or more technicians and/or field operations. The Site Supervisor must be qualified to manage multiple service crews at different sites. Enforces all relevant safety and quality control policies and procedures in assigned area. Ensures that the work meets the company's and the customer's expectations, produces satisfactory profits, meet time limitations and contractual requirements. Performance is measured for Safety, Quality, and Value delivered to the project and company. Working conditions include outside work, extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, shift work, flexible schedules and 24/7 on-call availability.
Essential Functions
  • Strong leadership and management skills and maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with specifications and schedule

  • Operation of heavy machinery, pumps and hoses

  • Waste clean-up

Required Eligibility Qualifications
  • 3+ Years Management Experience in the Environmental Field
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
  • Clean driving record and a valid state motor vehicle operator's license (Required)
  • Able to obtain form of identification compliant with the R.E.A.L. I.D. standards
  • Pass DOD/DOE background check for site access/clearance
  • Pass pre-employment and random DOT & Non-DOT drug and alcohol screening
  • Experience in site cleanup, industrial cleaning, or landscaping type activities
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and the ability to fulfill varying beginning and ending shift times

Physical Demands
Must be able to:
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Pass pre-employment physical
  • Sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance and spend the majority of the day in a non-seated position
  • Physically capable of wearing a respirator (pass Pulmonary and FIT Test) and not possess symptoms of Claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces) or Acrophobia (fear of heights)
  • Ability to work in varying (extreme) temperatures, depending upon season
  • Perform activities such as shoveling, raking, routine housekeeping
  • Must complete all pre and post training including safety, new hire, and regulatory

Supervisory Responsibility
  • Responsible for managing crews consisting of CDL Drivers, technicians, and laborers
  • Responsibility includes timesheet review and approval, project performance metrics (safety, quality, value), recruiting/hiring, and effective execution of work schedules
  • Practice Safety, Quality, and Value for all industrial service-related project performance activities
  • Vacuum Equipment Operations
  • Operate large Industrial Cleaning Equipment and Vehicles
  • Pressure washing
  • Other industrial cleaning related activities

Certifications/Training/ Licensure (Require but will train)
  • 30 Hour OSHA (Preferred but will train)
  • MSHA (Preferred but will train)
  • Confined Space Entry (Preferred but will train)
  • Class A CDL (Preferred)
  • 40-HR HAZWOPER (Preferred but will train)

Hours of Work
  • Shift work, flexible schedules and 24/7 on-call availability (varies by division and job)
  • Typical week will consist of Monday - Friday, 8-10 hours per day (varies by division and job)

Travel
  • Must be able to commute to job site and/or travel and stay overnight as required - varies by project
  • 30-60% on a yearly basis - dependent on contract requirements
