Job description

Chicago Metalcraft Inc. is seeking an experienced TIG Welder / Stainless Steel Fabricator to join our team in South Elgin, Illinois.

We design and manufacture custom stainless steel conveyors, machinery, and fabrication solutions for the food processing industry. This position is ideal for a skilled welder who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys building custom equipment in a clean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • TIG weld stainless steel components and assemblies
  • Fabricate parts from drawings and specifications
  • Cut, form, fit, and assemble materials
  • Build food-grade and sanitary stainless steel equipment
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and fabrication team
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of TIG welding experience preferred
  • Experience welding stainless steel
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Food-grade or sanitary welding experience is a plus
