Job description

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Pipe Welder to join our prefabrication shop team. This position will focus on welding and fabricating piping assemblies in a controlled shop environment before they are sent to the job site for installation.
Responsibilities
  • Weld pipe and fittings using SMAW (stick), GTAW (TIG), and/or GMAW/FCAW processes
  • Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, piping drawings, and isometric drawings
  • Fit and weld pipe assemblies to required dimensions and specifications
  • Perform proper joint preparation, fit-up, tack welding, and final welding
  • Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and proper penetration
  • Use grinders, cutting equipment, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment
  • Maintain proper welding procedures and follow project specifications
  • Prepare completed piping assemblies for shipment and field installation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements

Qualifications
  • Previous pipe welding experience required
  • Ability to read and understand piping blueprints and isometric drawings
  • Experience with pipe fit-up and fabrication is a strong plus
  • Ability to pass applicable welding tests is preferred
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to learn

$100/day Per Diem available for candidates who qualify
