Job description

Description:Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, mobile cranes, and other rigging machinery to safely move oversized and heavy equipment within the yard.
  • Perform pre-use inspections and routine maintenance checks on rigging gear and lifting equipment to ensure operational integrity.
  • Load and unload heavy machinery and components from flatbeds, lowboys, and other specialized trailers.
  • Properly secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and other rigging hardware in accordance with DOT and company standards.
  • Assist with staging, blocking, cribbing, and positioning of equipment for transport preparation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized yard environment.
  • Strictly follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and heavy haul best practices.


Requirements:Qualifications
  • Prior experience in heavy haul, rigging, construction, or industrial yard operations required.
  • Working knowledge of load securement principles and weight distribution.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and cranes (certification preferred).
  • Strong understanding of safe lifting techniques and rigging hardware.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and performing manual labor as required.
