Warehouse Associate

Wixom, MI

Position Summary

Located at our Wixom, MI location, the person in this position would assist with picking and preparing orders for shipments as well as receive, transfer, and storage of incoming freight in our Wixom division. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Living Out Lumbermen's Culture – Leading in and modeling Lumbermen's core values while creating an atmosphere where Lumbermen's is 'first choice' of our customers.
  • Detail Oriented - Unloading incoming freight, verifying product against enclosed packing lists, sorting material by end destination and putting away excess stock.
  • Equipment Usage - Using fork trucks and order picking equipment.
  • Loading Products - Loading outbound transfer trucks.
  • Preparing Orders - Accurately pulling customer orders and preparing material for shipment
  • Safety - Securing and labeling products for delivery
  • Process - Transferring picked orders to staging area for delivery per the delivery schedule.
  • Open Communication - Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse.
  • Teamwork - Performing other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
