Job Title: CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper

Job Summary

The CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper is responsible for safely transporting materials and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations within the fabrication facility. This role is a blend of driving and hands-on shop support, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining organization, accuracy, and safety in the shipping area.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
  • Must have a DOT Medical Card.
  • Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience required.
  • Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)
  • Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Dependable with strong work team-oriented mindset.

Driving & Transportation:

  • Operate company vehicles to transport materials, pipe spools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and other locations
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues immediately
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards

General Shop Support:

  • Assist with inventory handling and material staging
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other equipment
  • Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties
  • Follow all PPE requirements and safety protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area
