Summary

Strategize with the Director of Marketing & PR to create strategic marketing plans toย optimizeย the effectiveness of Houston Balletโ€™s budget and resources to achieve target marketing and revenue benchmarks while expanding Houston Ballet's reach through traditional and digital marketing efforts that bolster brand integrity.ย  This is an in-person positionย locatedย in Houston, TX.ย *This role reports to the Director of Marketing & PR.ย

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Concept and implement all marketing collateral related to season, subscription, and single tickets campaigns, including but not limited to direct mail, promotional items, and website copy and creative content.ย 
  • Oversee email marketing tactics, collaborating with the Director of Marketing & PR for content creation, audience segmentation, and reporting.ย 
  • Develop, plan, and implement organic social media strategies and maintain a high-frequency posting schedule for four social media platformsย 
  • Develop and coordinate copy and creative with our digital firm to execute paid digital campaigns.ย 
  • Collaborate with the Audio andย Visual teamย and applicable consulting firms on the branding concepts for all institutional video and photoshoots while overseeing logistics coordination and execution.ย 
  • Coordinate and schedule supervised on-site photography for Houston Ballet Company and Academy needs.ย 
  • Manage fulfillment and delivery of all print and direct mail campaigns with vendors booked by the department.ย 
  • Support the Director of Marketing & PR in analyzing potential strategic partner relationships.ย ย 
  • Manage and coordinate marketing, brand image, and promotional tactics at Houston Ballet community events, including but not limited to, Theater Districtย Open House, Miller Outdoor Theatre performances, holiday promotional events at Wortham Center and City of Houston, and select Nutcracker Market events.ย 
  • Approach and execute duties with a positive and collaborative demeanor while prioritizing high-quality work, patron-centered focus, and brand integrity.ย 

Requirements of the role

  • 4+ย years of marketing experienceย 
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing or a related fieldย 
  • High proficiency in executing paid social media and digital campaigns.ย 
  • Strong analytical and project management skillsย 
  • Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills with a high proficiency for Copywritingย 
  • 2+ years of management experienceย 
  • Performing or Visual Arts experience preferred.ย ย 
  • 2+ years of experience with Google Analytics or equivalent certificationย 
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects and achieve deadlines.ย 
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.ย 
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google Workspaceย 
  • Experience with content management systems such as EPiServer and Umbraco preferred.ย 
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe CS or other design programs such as Canva preferred.ย 
  • Assist with seasonal Houston Ballet community and promotional events, including some nights, and weekends throughout our production season with key events during the holiday season.ย
