Role Description The Bilingual Licensed Insurance Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Waterford, Grand Rapids or Hillsdale, MI, or Des Plaines, IL. This role involves advising clients on insurance options, explaining coverage details, and helping them select policies that align with their financial and protection needs, in both English and another language. Day-to-day tasks include handling inbound and outbound calls, providing quotes, processing applications, managing renewals, and responding to questions about billing and claims processes. The representative will maintain accurate client records, follow up on leads, and support agency sales goals while complying with all regulatory and carrier requirements. Collaboration with colleagues, regular training on product updates, and consistent delivery of respectful, inclusive customer service are core parts of this position.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to recommend and cross-sell appropriate coverage options.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and concepts, including policy structure, coverage limits, and risk management principles.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Finance, including budgeting considerations and how insurance fits into overall financial planning.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and clear communication with diverse clients.
  • Current state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain one within a specified timeframe).
  • Bilingual fluency (spoken and written) in English and another language commonly used in the local community.
  • Comfort working in an on-site office environment, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized records.
  • Proficiency with office software, CRM systems, and carrier platforms; prior experience in an agency or brokerage setting is beneficial.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical sales practices.
