ACCOUNTANT Position Summary Terradyne Engineering has a great opportunity for a skilled and energetic accountant to play a major role in the accounting department of our fast-paced, rapidly growing company. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing day-to-day operations of accounting activities while supporting the formation of departmental policies and procedures. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions are a must.

Essential Job Functions Assist with the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly, and year-end functions of the accounting department. Supervise and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting associate. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

This position is an in-office role only. No remote work available. Responsible for activities and duties regarding accounts receivable within the company, including: Daily collections activity Daily invoice entry Daily bank reconciliation Apply customer payments Research and solve payment discrepancies Process credit card payments and credits Prepare analysis of accounts as required Responsible for activities and duties regarding accounts payable within the company, including: Weekly Accounts Payable reporting Oversee daily payable invoice entry Research and solve invoice discrepancies Process checks and ACH payments Responsible for period closing process including posting of journal entries and accuracy of the general ledger Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly bank reconciliations Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements.

End of year preparation of required filings Processing of weekly payroll (through Paylocity) Ability to merge books of company acquisitions Ensure that required reporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis Drives accounting process improvement Perform other related duties as assigned by the VP of Corporate Administration This job is ideal for someone who is: Dependable - more reliable than spontaneous People-oriented - enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects Adaptable/flexible - enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Detail-oriented - would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture Achievement-oriented - enjoy taking on challenges, even if they might fail Autonomous/independent - enjoys working with little direction Background, drug, and employment history check is required in addition to validation of education and certificates. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required CPA/CMA preferred but not required 5+ years of full cycle accounting experience Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint High level of expertise with Quickbooks online required Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and detail oriented. Collaborative, team player with the ability to work cross functionally with other departments and senior leadership Work well under pressure and exercise sound judgment and discretion, with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Must be able to handle multiple, concurrent working assignments and deadlines; hard-working and very organized A sense of humor and ability to function effectively in a small professional office Benefits Full Benefits Pay $65,000-70,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications.
