This individual will function as both a hands-on technical expert and client-facing lead, guiding data engineering efforts, shaping analytical products, mentoring team members, and partnering with senior stakeholders to solve complex financial management and resource planning challenges.

Your responsibilities as a Financial Reporting Consultant.

·        Lead the design, development, integration, and governance of enterprise analytics solutions supporting financial and programmatic decision-making.

·        Architect scalable data pipelines and analytical environments using Databricks, Python, SQL, PySpark, and related technologies.

·        Guide the integration of financial, operational, and programmatic data from multiple authoritative systems.

·        Lead requirements gathering sessions with client stakeholders and translate strategic business questions into technical and analytical approaches.

·        Support PPBE, budget execution, financial analysis, forecasting, scenario modeling, and resource planning activities.

·        Oversee development of executive dashboards, scorecards, analytical reports, and senior leadership briefing materials.

·        Establish and reinforce data governance practices, including data quality controls, lineage, metadata, business rules, documentation, and auditability.

·        Mentor analysts, engineers, and developers while remaining hands-on with technical delivery.

·        Support testing, implementation, configuration management, documentation, and change management activities.

·        Recommend improvements to reporting processes, data management practices, business workflows, and decision-support products.

Your background will include.

·        Bachelor's degree in business, data, or a relevant field

·        8+ years of experience supporting enterprise analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or financial data initiatives.

·        Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, workstreams, or client-facing analytics engagements.

·        Advanced proficiency with Python, SQL, and enterprise data engineering practices.

·        Experience architecting solutions using Databricks, Spark, PySpark, cloud analytics platforms, or modern data platform environments.

·        Experience integrating, transforming, validating, and governing data from multiple authoritative systems.

·        Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jira, or similar version control and delivery management tools.

·        Experience designing executive dashboards, analytical products, and decision-support materials in ADVANA/Qlik and other relevant tools.

·        Ability to lead small teams while remaining hands-on technically.

·        Strong stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities.

·        Experience supporting Department of War financial management, comptroller, resource management, or PPBE organizations.

·        Experience leading data modernization, data migration, or enterprise reporting transformation efforts.

·        Experience with workflow automation, Power Platform, UiPath, Celonis, or process intelligence tools.

·        Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, configuration management, peer review, and code governance practices.

·        Master's degree in business, data, analytics, information systems, finance, economics, engineering, or a related field.

Compensation: Compensation for this role will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The expected base salary range is between $160K and $230K. Generous benefits, bonus eligibility, and significant professional development support are all available.
