Job description

SUMMARY
The World Cup Security Area Supervisor is responsible for supporting security operations across multiple areas/functions related to the World Cup, including stadium and campus locations. This role oversees the execution of security operations within assigned areas and provides leadership and on-the-job training to staff.
The position plays a key role in fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement while delivering world-class guest service throughout the event experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Create a welcoming, service-oriented environment for all guests entering the stadium by leading staff with a focus on safety, professionalism, and accountability.
  2. Maintain thorough knowledge of all security operational policies and procedures to effectively execute security initiatives throughout the stadium
  3. Oversee and support all Supervisors in assigned areas to ensure compliance with stadium policies and procedures while fostering a respectful and supportive work environment.
  4. Attend pre-event Supervisor briefings as assigned by TeamOps Event Managers.
  5. Conduct event-day briefings with assigned staff, emphasizing world-class security practices and exceptional guest service at every guest touchpoint
  6. Deploy staff to assigned areas, ensuring placements align with individual skills, attributes, and operational needs.
  7. Ensure guest safety and security by conducting thorough primary and secondary guest and bag screenings using established security technology and protocols.
  8. Maintain the integrity of the playing field and other restricted or back-of-house areas by verifying credentials and challenging unauthorized access.
  9. Monitor crowd behavior and promptly report any suspicious activity or safety concerns to your Supervisor.
  10. Make recommendations to the Senior Security Event Manager to enhance guest service, crowd management, operational efficiency, and overall event safety.
  11. Work collaboratively with stadium partners, including Guest Services, Food and Beverage, and Stadium Operations; escalate concerns to the Event Manager, Main Operations Center (MOC), or nearest Law Enforcement Officer as applicable.
  12. Complete all required training modules and ongoing education assignments.
  13. Respond to and report safety, service, or security incident to the Main Operations Center and TeamOps Management, escalating to nearest Law Enforcement Officer as applicable. Ensure incident reports and required statements are completed accurately and submitted by end of shift.
  14. Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise assigned staff on event days only

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant security, event operations, or related experience
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Strong security mindset with guest-focused approach
  • Ability to properly enforce stadium policies and procedures in high-pressure or challenging situations
  • Commitment to teamwork, safety, and service excellence
  • Consistently maintains a positive and professional demeanor
  • Effective verbal communication skills with diverse staff and guest populations
  • Ability to follow direction and adapt to shifting priorities during event operations
  • Availability to work full stadium events, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to meet organizational mandatory events attendance requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods
  • Some positions may require repeated stair climbing
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
