Job description

TITLE:Security Manager, Stadium 

DEPARTMENT:Stadium Operations 
REPORTS TO:Director of Safety & Security 

FLSA:Full Time; Exempt 

 

WHAT SETS YOU APART  

We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, patient individual to join our security team! You have top-notch security expertise, strong leadership skills, and always suggest and implement new solutions. You will be responsible for managing security staff and overseeing all aspects of public and venue safety. You ensure proper enforcement of venue event policies and procedures that result in a safe and well-protected environment. This role supports Orlando City, Orlando Pride, and Inter&Co Stadium events.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive event security plans in partnership with the Director of Safety & Security, ensuring effective execution and cost-efficient operations. 
  • Manage the Visitor Management Program at Inter & Co Stadium, including administration of the Receptionist platform and employee training. 
  • Train and mentor in-house security personnel on incident response procedures, guest service standards, emergency protocols, and security best practices. 
  • Conduct venue security assessments and participate in site inspections to identify operational and safety requirements for all stadium events. 
  • Oversee loading dock operations, including 24/7 coverage, delivery coordination, completion of patrol logs, and support of event operations as needed. 
  • Lead pre-event security briefings for both internal security staff and third-party vendors to ensure alignment on event-specific procedures and expectations. 
  • Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and readiness of security equipment in collaboration with the conversion and operations teams. 
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, league security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. 
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with internal departments, external partners, and event stakeholders to enhance safety, service, and operational effectiveness. 
  • Serve as Incident Commander within the Security Command Post on event days, overseeing incident communications, dispatch operations, and cross-functional response efforts to ensure timely resolution of issues. 
  • Travel with team operations as required throughout the season to support security and event management objectives. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage (4) Full-Time Stadium Security Staff 
  • Manage interviewing,hiring, and training employees, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees in conjunction withthe People & Culture team.   

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred  
  • 5-7 years’ experience in law enforcement, private security, sports venue or public assembly environment with increasing responsibilities  
  • Experience in law enforcement, entertainment/sports venue and/or public assembly environment preferred  
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in security field required  
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control technology and incident reporting systems   
  • Knowledge or crowd management, emergency preparedness and security best practices 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a team environment, focusing on collaboration, communication, and working to achieve goals of the department.   
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions 
  • Ability to think strategically and be resourceful, innovative, and forward-thinking.  
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.  
  • The ability to attain and maintain Safesport certification
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.  
  • Possess a Florida Private Security License or be willing to obtain within 45 days of employment, if necessary.  
  • Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.  
  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Â
