Job description

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.
This is a Part-Time Union position responsible for assisting Full-Time Storeroom Attendants in the operation of the Entertainment Complex storeroom.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Receive, identify, and certify the quantity and condition of all incoming materials
  • Assure proper documentation of issue slips for all material and equipment issued out of storeroom
  • Perform computer functions in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
  • Update, order, and inventory materials and equipment
  • Perform computerized material requisition and purchase request functions
  • Review inventory to identify frequency of use. Delete or add items as authorized
  • Work with computerized systems and reports pertaining to the work order, material control, and purchase order systems
  • Order stock and non-stock materials, create purchase requests, receive materials from vendors, certify invoice of material, restock material bins, control issues, and turn-in tool crib equipment
  • Operate a forklift and hand carts
  • Operate and drive a truck for picking up supplies and equipment
  • Provide quality work and services in a timely manner
  • Assist other tradesmen as required with any aspect of Hersheypark, Historic Hersheypark Arena, and Hersheypark Stadium operations
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • One (1) year experience working with Microsoft office (word/ excel) or Google Sheets/ Docs
  • Have good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
  • Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and show willingness to gain experience and to progress
  • Must have the ability to read and perform basic math skills
  • Exhibit understanding, flexibility, and willingness to change priorities
  • Must have the ability to be certified to safely operate forklifts, and other miscellaneous maintenance vehicles
  • Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information

Job Demands:
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, sitting, walking, reaching forward, reaching overhead, feeling and grasping (both simple and firm), and lifting up to lift 75 lbs. safely.
  • Must be able to work 20-32 hours per week, with flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands
  • Must be able to conform to all working conditions and work in all weather conditions. Work indoors in supply building 80% of the time and work outdoors loading/unloading 20% of the
  • time.
  • Employees must provide safety shoes, which are required at all times.
