THE BURKS COMPANIES, INC. (TBC) is looking to hire a General Cleaner (GC). Are you energetic, reliable, and a get-it-done person who is looking for Part-time work? Our General Cleaners are the core of who we are as a company. GC(s) are responsible for periodic cleaning tasks in accordance to cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOP) that meet site and contract specifications. The General Cleaner is a Part-time position and maintains walkways, restrooms, break room areas, windows, entrances, waste receptacles and other areas of the facilities as assigned.$15.00/hourPart - Time Positions5.0 hour scheduleWHAT DOES THE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TBC SPECIALTY TECHNICIAN LOOK LIKE? Let's take a peek.....You will probably begin your day performing general cleaning duties i.e., break rooms/kitchenettes, vacuuming/mopping floors, restrooms, stairs, walkways, escalators, elevators, and other areas as assigned. You have to keep your janitor closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working order, check supplies, equipment, and chemicals. You will stock materials and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.All day you will be reminded to comply with all safety, security, quality standards, and procedures established by TBC, our client, and regulatory authorities (OSHA).Yes. Great customer service is a requirement so remember to enjoy your job and complete all tasks that are assigned.We have a reputation for quality work, and this is partly thanks to the great job that you do!WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO YOU NEED?18-years-old or older.Completion of a High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not necessary.You must be able to listen and follow directions.AND WHAT ELSE?Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but do not worry we will train you.You must be able to follow safety policies and procedures - this is not an option for you.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSFrequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, and squatting is required.Frequent sitting at a desk/computer for long periods is required.Frequent light lifting of less than 40 pounds is required.
