This seat is based out of our Papillion office, working the Sarpy County and Omaha metro commercial market.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY GIVE YOU

Carrier access. Auto-Owners, Travelers, Progressive, Nationwide, plus a full wholesale and excess and surplus lines network for the accounts standard markets will not touch. You are not going to lose a contractor with a rough loss run because we do not have a home for it.

A service team that services. Dedicated commercial lines account managers handle certificates, endorsements, and renewals. Your job is to sell and stay in front of clients. If you spend your Tuesday afternoon issuing COIs, we hired wrong.

Marketing and proposal support. Our team markets your submissions and builds your proposals. You present, you close, you move to the next one.

Ownership clarity in writing. Your commission split, your renewal stream, and what happens to your book if you leave will be in the offer letter before you accept. No handshake, no "we will figure it out later."

COMPENSATION

Base salary of $40,000 to $55,000 depending on experience and existing book, plus commission on everything you write.

New business commission: 40% of agency commission Renewal commission: 30% ongoing for as long as you service the account

Posted range reflects realistic total compensation from year one through a mature book. There is no cap above it, no territory carve-outs, and no house accounts pulled out from under you.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Two kinds of people, and we are open to both.

The experienced producer who is done being limited. You have a book, or you have had one. You know how to run a submission, read a loss run, and hold a renewal. You are frustrated by market access, by service that makes you look bad, or by a comp plan that changed on you. We should talk.

The proven salesperson from outside insurance. You have sold something hard, hit a real quota, and can prove it. You do not have a PC license yet. We will pay for it and teach you the technical side. We cannot teach you how to walk into a stranger's business and start a conversation. If that part comes naturally, the rest is learnable.

What we are not looking for is someone who wants leads handed to them. This is a hunting seat.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

First 90 days: licensed and appointed, trained on our carriers and systems, active pipeline built, first submissions in the market.

First 12 months: $48,000 in new commission written, a working referral network, and a renewal book starting to compound.

Year three: you stop starting over every January. New business stacks on a renewal base instead of replacing last year's production, which is the entire reason good producers stay in this business.

You will get the exact numbers before you accept. You will see your scoreboard every week.

THIS IS PROBABLY NOT THE RIGHT JOB FOR YOU IF

• You want inbound leads and a queue to work.
• You are uncomfortable asking a business owner for their expirations.
• You want a salary that does not move based on what you produce.
• You would rather be technically excellent than commercially aggressive.
• You need a manager to build your week for you.

We would rather you know that now than nine months in.

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Build and work a pipeline of commercial prospects through networking, referrals, centers of influence, and direct prospecting.
• Develop relationships with business owners across Sarpy County, the Omaha metro, and western Iowa.
• Establish referral relationships with bankers, CPAs, attorneys, and other centers of influence.
• Ask for and secure expiration dates, loss runs, and current declarations pages.

RISK ANALYSIS AND PLACEMENT

• Analyze client operations and exposures and identify coverage gaps.
• Recommend property, general liability, commercial auto, workers compensation, umbrella, cyber, and specialty coverages.
• Work with our marketing team to submit accounts to the right carriers and negotiate terms.
• Present coverage recommendations, handle objections, and close.

BOOK MANAGEMENT AND GROWTH

• Stay in front of clients between renewals, not just at renewal.
• Round accounts by identifying personal lines and additional commercial exposures.
• Add life and benefits only if that capacity is in place.
• Generate referrals from existing clients.
• Partner with your assigned account manager so service stays clean and you stay in the field.

EXECUTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY

• Keep AgencyZoom current so your pipeline is real and forecastable.
• Hit weekly activity standards and quarterly production targets.
• Represent Smith Davis with professionalism and integrity in every carrier and client interaction.
• Participate in our weekly sales and leadership rhythm.
