Job description

Description
Provide overall direction for field installation of assigned project. Owns direct responsibility for "field labor, labor coordination, production quality control, and safety" on assigned project. Represents RMS on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope.
High Level Job Functions:
Foreman Level
  • Attends and contributes to the various Operations Meetings
  • Blueprint reading, coordination, layout, sketching, and materials take off
  • Material, tool, and equipment handling, which includes ordering, receiving, placing, and returning
  • Contract scope delineations-Must be able to confirm that construction drawings and specs agree with contract scope and to respond to general contractor's requests concerning any scope limits
  • Time keeping and other administrative duties, which includes but isn't limited to daily reports, submittal logs, RFI status, etc.
  • Ensuring that safety standards and other company programs are implemented and effective
  • Building code compliance
  • Quality Control
  • Transport prefabricated parts to construction sites for assembly and installation
  • Production management

Superintendent Level
  • All foreman level functions
  • Trade stacking and phasing; influence project scheduling

Requirements
Foreman Level
  • Must have minimum of 1 year of experience managing a minimum of 4-5 workers
  • Understanding of all phases of duct and equipment installation
  • Must have advanced knowledge of how jobs are assembled in the field
  • Must manage to the budget, plan to the schedule, plan for the unexpected, and meet or exceed project deadlines while keeping safety first
  • Excellent organizational, communication and supervisory skills required.

Superintendent Level
  • All foreman level requirements
  • Must have minimum of 2 years of experience managing a minimum of 10-15 workers
  • Must have experience supervising projects of $500,000+
