Prime Stable Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. • Conduct initial evaluations that include comprehensive psychological assessments and interviews, documenting client histories and identifying presenting issues.
• Maintain detailed case documentation throughout the therapeutic process, from the first client meeting to the conclusion of their treatment.
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for clients, addressing their unique needs whether they are receiving individual therapy or participating in group settings.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based techniques to foster an open and supportive dialogue among participants.
• Regularly assess client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive and thorough intervention strategies.
• Coordinate follow-up care with relevant medical personnel for clients who may require inpatient services or have recently been discharged from hospital settings.
• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder client recovery, providing strategies for both clients and their families to navigate challenges effectively.
• Support family members and caregivers with resources and strategies for dealing with mental health issues, enhancing their capacity to assist their loved ones.

Our clients come from various backgrounds, each facing unique mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders and addiction issues. As a counselor, you will be working with individuals, couples, families, and groups within a community health clinic framework that emphasizes accessibility and respect for diverse experiences. Your role is critical in shaping the therapeutic journey of our clients, offering them the tools and support necessary for meaningful recovery.

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrable licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• Successful completion of NCE and/or NCMHCE exams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health records, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience working with clients dealing with various mental health issues, including addiction disorders and co-occurring conditions.
• Familiarity with best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A comprehensive understanding of the implications of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients, exhibiting empathy and understanding in high-stress situations.
