Shop Assistants Needed in the Romeo, Michigan area!


A local machining company with a facility in the Romeo, MI area, is currently looking to hire Shop Assistants for Long-Term opportunities with their growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to learn, grow, and work for a company that offers great benefits, stable employment, and a great work environment.


The Shop Assistants’ hourly rates are anticipated to start between $16 to $18 per hour based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. Overtime is paid at premium rates over 40 hours. We offer excellent benefits including great medical, dental, 401k, and more.


Qualified Shop Assistants will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in a machine shop is preferred.
  • Hilo experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with most hand and power tools.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is beneficial.
  • Able to read blueprints is a plus.
  • Able to pass standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, etc.
