As our Critical Care Clinical Nurse Educator (ED/ICU), you will provide staff development expertise in the assigned specialty as an educator, expert clinician, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, patient advocate and researcher. :You will support  the clinical and professional development of the assigned staff, with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice.

Every day, you will facilitate the educational process through assessment, development, planning, implementation and evaluation of competency, continuing education and professional development.

To be successful in this role, you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff.

  • The Critical Care Clinical Educator will have responsibilities for Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican Rose De Lima Emergency Services and Dignity Health St. Rose Dominican San Martin Emergency Services and Intensive Care units.
  • In addition, as a role model of professional behavior, the Critical Care Clinical Educator (ED/ICU) assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports the SRDH mission, vision and values.
  • The Critical Care Clinical Educator will directly report to Education leadership.

Required

  • 5 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in assigned specialty or as a Clinical Educator or Clinical Instructor
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Critical Care Services in CV-ICU
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing Education or related area or current enrollment in a Master's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Master's Degree program within three years
  • Will accept Bachelor's Degree in a related field with a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • RN license from NV State Nursing Board

 Preferred

  • National certification in specialty or Professional Staff Development
  • 5 years experience in ED and Neuro
  • Instructor status in at least one of the mandatory certifications required for assigned specialty
