PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Post-Doctoral Fellow at Catholic Charities: 

• Maintains a caseload of counseling clients consistent with professional area of expertise.
• Conducts psychological assessments, particularly for psycho-educational evaluations and religious life assessment.
• Consults with other providers or family members as appropriate to maintain clinical care and treatment planning.
• Refers client to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
• Completes necessary administrative duties (paperwork, reports, etc.) timely and accurately.
• Provides other professional services as needed, including presentations, crisis intervention, and consultation.
• Performs appropriate case management based upon accepted standards and program policies.
• Documents client contacts and progress in accordance with accepted charting standards. 
• Engages with the team in a positive and supportive manner, attends team meetings, and builds up others.  
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with referral sources and community agents.
• Participates in clinical and agency supervision, consultation, and staff training, as required.
• Provides education, training and/or planning in mental health human service issues as appropriate.
• Supports, promotes and adheres to Catholic Charities’ vision, mission, values and Code of Ethics.
• Reflects Catholic Charities’ commitment to treating all persons with dignity and respect. 
• Uses creativity and innovation in program development and service delivery.
• Maintains confidentiality of client and agency information.
• Regular and predictable attendance; communicates with supervisor about absences. 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in Division and agency events/initiatives.
• Good steward of Agency human, financial and capital resources.
• Participates effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing, and problem solving.
• Any other tasks or duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.  
• Ability to establish rapport with clients.
• Ability to work effectively within the framework of Catholic teachings.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of clients and ministry.  
• Requires basic knowledge of computers to input data, write communications, and generate reports. 
• Demonstrate skills and sensitivity to the cultural/linguistic differences of staff, clients and community.
• Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. 
• Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff and with a diverse client base.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Ph.D., or Psy.D. in counseling, family and marriage counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or school psychology (or equivalent degree).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Colorado clinical license preferred, but not required. Must be a candidate for a Colorado state license.  

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

$70,000 annually

• Shift is Full Time 
• Extensive Paid Time Off (4 weeks accrual for new employees - increasing based on tenure) promoting work life balance. 
• 15 Paid Holidays annually (shelters are 24/7, so if a holiday is worked, holiday pay is included.)  
• Sabbatical Leave Program: Employees who have completed seven years of continuous full-time service are eligible for a paid sabbatical leave to support rest, renewal, and professional or personal growth. Eligible staff may take 4 weeks of sabbatical leave.
• 403b Retirement Plan with Agency contribution of 4% & match up to 2% of annual compensation. 
• Choice of 3 PPO Medical Plans (90% of employee's and 75% of dependent’s premiums is paid by Agency), Dental, & Vision starting the 1st day of the month following start date. 
• May be eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through Federal Student Loans and many more benefits. 

**Part-time employees (20-29 hours per week) also receive paid annual leave, company paid holidays, and 403b retirement plan with agency contribution and match.
