Job description

Location: The University Club of St. Paul

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager / General Manager

Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible Scheduling Available)

Position Summary:

The University Club of St. Paul is seeking personable, professional, and service-oriented Servers to join our front-of-house team. As a Server, you will provide exceptional dining experiences to members and guests in a historic, private club setting. This position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to all members and guests
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
  • Deliver food and beverages in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service throughout their dining experience
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service
  • Follow all club and health department protocols for food safety and sanitation
  • Assist with events, banquets, and private dining functions as needed
  • Uphold the standards and traditions of the University Club of St. Paul

Qualifications:

  • Previous serving experience preferred, especially in fine dining or private club environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol in the state of Minnesota
