Job description

St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking an experienced middle school instructional assistant. This candidate must be able to partner with the content area teacher to support instruction, reinforce concepts in small groups, and support the classroom management system.
Requirements
  • Instructional Support: Tutor individuals or small groups to reinforce lessons, assist with literacy/math, and help students with independent studies.
  • Behavior Management: Monitor student behavior, promote positive social skills, and implement classroom management strategies established by the lead teacher.
  • Classroom Administration: Grade assignments, administer tests, record student progress, and organize classroom materials or supplies.
  • Supervision: Monitor students in non-classroom environments such as hallways.
  • Student Support: Assist with specific learning supports such as taking tests in an alternate setting, extended time for assessments, and organizational skills.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma, with an associate degree or higher preferred. Experience in middle school classrooms preferred.
