RESPONSIBILITIES AS THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
Planning, directing and organizing health services of the Nursing Home in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines
Provide evaluation, training and consistent oversight of caregivers and work assignments
Assist with Internal and External marketing and events to meet occupancy goals
Ability to build effective working relationships and a positive team atmosphere with people of all backgrounds
Possess initiative, good judgment and leadership ability to work well with the community, residents, families and staff
Possess understanding and compassion for the elderly population
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
  • Graduate of a state board approved LPN program
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in the state of Iowa
  • Experience with long-term care programs
  • Successful completion of LPN Supervisory course within 6 months of employment
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Heart for working with the elderly
