Job description

SJCRH
The St. Jude Affiliate Program is seeking a motivated and forward-thinking faculty member to serve as the program medical director. The St. Jude Affiliate Program is a network of clinics, hospitals, and universities that works closely with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to provide expert, compassionate care and treatment closer to a patient's home.
This position will dedicate 50%-60% of full-time effort to the Affiliate Program as medical director. As medical director, the faculty member will:
  • Provide clinical leadership for the Affiliate Program, including ensuring alignment with St. Jude strategic priorities
  • Propose and advise on long-term program strategy in conjunction with the Clinical Director's Office, Clinical Operations, and the Clinical Trails organizations.
  • Maintain oversight of progress toward strategic program goals and report out as needed to executive leadership and committees of the St. Jude Board of Governors
  • Partner with St. Jude Clinical Operations and Quality and Safety teams to support oversight of the Affiliate Program
  • Serve as a liaison between St. Jude and the Affiliate site leadership
  • Serve on the Affiliate Program Triad team, Huntsville Steering Committee, and other standing committees as needed
  • Review and analyze performance metrics for affiliate sites (e.g., recruitment rates, protocol adherence) to support program decision making
  • Address clinical issues or escalations from affiliate sites
  • Anticipate maximum 25% travel time to affiliate sites

The remainder of the faculty member's effort will be allotted to patient care. Clinical care location and responsibilities will be considered case by case for each candidate.
Successful candidates will have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree and be Board certified or Board-eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology. This faculty member will be involved in clinical care.
Faculty appointments are housed in the department that aligns best with a candidate's area of clinical/research focus. The offered faculty rank will be determined based on the chosen candidate's qualifications.
For candidates that will be based in Memphis, TN, relocation assistance is available. The facilities and salaries are competitive, and a generous benefit package is included.
