How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on the severity of injuries or illnesses and initiating immediate interventions when necessary.

  • Provide urgent medical care, including administering medications, starting IV lines, performing wound care, and assisting with life-saving procedures such as CPR and trauma resuscitation.

  • Continuously monitor patients’ conditions, recognize sudden changes, and communicate critical information to physicians and the interdisciplinary team.

  • Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care while offering reassurance during high-stress situations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
