Title: Maintenance Associate, Full-time

Reports to: Maintenance Director/Principal

Location:St. Charles Borromeo School | Port Charlotte, FL

Classification: Hourly/Nonexempt

Overview

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is seeking a full time Maintenance Associate. This role is responsible for the repair, renovation, and upkeep of buildings, facilities, and equipment on St. Charles Borromeo school property.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily checks of the buildings and grounds to ensure trash/debris is picked up from common areas and grounds ensuring the area is presentable and always inviting.
  • General maintenance/carpentry of walls, doors, windows, carpet, tile, caulk, and paint where needed.
  • Set up for events and meetings.
  • Secure all buildings on campus at the end of the day.
  • Electrical: perform all minor repairs such as outlets, switches, light bulbs, and fixtures.
  • Air Conditioning: replace belts, filters and thermostats as needed.
  • Plumbing: repair minor water leaks, replace faucets, open drains as needed.
  • Custodial duties as needed throughout the day.
  • Other tasks as determined by Maintenance Director/Principal
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have general maintenance skills, janitorial skills and building equipment knowledge.
  • Plumbing or electric license preferred
  • Understanding safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, twist, push, pull continuously throughout day.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must pass a DOV assigned post offer physical exam .
