Job Description:
• Lead the design and implementation of authentication solutions that align with the organization's security and business goals.
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and security teams to develop comprehensive authentication strategies across various platforms and applications.
• Drive the evaluation and selection of authentication technologies, protocols, and tools, considering factors such as security, scalability, and user experience.
• Provide technical expertise in the integration of authentication mechanisms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), biometric authentication, and single sign-on (SSO).
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and advancements in authentication and identity management.
• Lead security assessments and penetration testing of authentication systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
• Define access control policies, user roles, and privilege management mechanisms based on business requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the authentication and security teams.
• Collaborate with external partners and Vendors to implement best-in-class authentication solutions.

Qualifications:
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in authentication architecture and design roles
• Hands-on experience with Okta and/or relevant access management tools
• Strong expertise in authentication protocols and mechanisms such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, Kerberos, etc.
• development experience using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, python and XML.
• Experience working with cloud-based authentication solutions (e.g., AWS Cognito, Azure AD, Okta).
• Expertise in security principles, access control models, and encryption methods.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, identify security gaps, and propose effective solutions.
• Experience with Linux and Windows platforms, middleware, Apache and load balancers
• Experience developing workflows, custom connectors, and troubleshooting issues
• Experience in Data security practices and procedures, including systems analysis, authentication technologies, and access controls
• Experience with Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Minimum Okta Certified Administrator: Okta Certified Consultant and/or Okta Certified Developer preferred.
*CISSP / CIAM Certification is a plus
