As an Applications Engineer, you will support the sales team by developing innovative warehouse automation and intralogistics solutions that meet customer needs. In this role, you'll combine engineering expertise, analytical thinking, and collaboration to create system concepts, technical documentation, and proposals that drive successful projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop material flow diagrams, process flow charts, and system layouts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Prepare equipment and service cost estimates and develop technical proposals, including system requirements and scope of supply.
  • Apply knowledge of distribution processes and automation technologies to design effective customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams while representing SSI SCHÄFER's core values of Modesty, Trust, Professionalism, Respect, Collegiality, Result Orientation, and Reliability.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or intralogistics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including occasional international travel and training in Europe. Must be able to obtain a passport if required.
