Job description

Our company continues to grow by focusing on customer service excellence and leading in technology. We seek top talent in the Security Industry. We are seeking a Fire Systems Drafter to join our team in Anaheim, CA. The ideal candidates are interested in career growth, detailed and have a passion for the security systems industry. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with Sales, Project Managers, and Technical staff to interpret project specs and drawings, determine system layout

• Create Access Control & Fire Alarm submittal documents and record drawings using AutoCAD and MS Office software

• Perform to a professional standard for accurate, neat, error free work with an emphasis on attention to detail

• Review individual drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy of work performed • Understand and utilize company-drafting procedures

• Actively participate in personal and professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that the company offers

• Promote a team environment, assisting other Design Engineers and staff with their projects

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must possess working knowledge and certifications in Drafting Design with an emphasis in 2D AutoCAD. The drafter must have great attention to detail, excellent time management skills, with the ability to learn and take direction. Work in conjunction with SSD Alarms Engineering Team, Sales & Operations to ensure AHJ code compliance for all low voltage systems. Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure company is meeting customers’ expectations.

• A minimum of 1 year experience in AutoCAD

• Ability to read blueprints and coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation

• Strong written and verbal skills

• Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Valid and clean driver's license

• Proficient knowledge and certifications in the use of AutoCAD

• Must demonstrate computer literacy, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD

• Must possess superior interpersonal skills and be a team player
