Roles and Responsibilities
  • Imaging and Configuration: Execute large-scale imaging and configuration of Windows 11 laptops and desktops using enterprise-standard tools such as Microsoft Intune Autopilot.
  • System Preparation: Configure devices with standardized Windows 11 baselines, integrating customized line-of-business (LOB) applications according to user or departmental requirements.
  • Hardware Deployment Support: Prepare systems for deployment, including unboxing, boxing, hardware upgrades (RAM, SSD/HDD), and peripheral setup to ensure readiness for end users.
  • Legacy Device Management: Manage the intake and processing of legacy Windows 10 systems for reuse, reimaging, or upgrade in accordance with enterprise refresh cycles.
  • Troubleshooting and Escalation: Diagnose and resolve routine hardware and software issues; elevate complex problems to higher-level engineers or appropriate IT teams for resolution.
  • Documentation and Tracking: Maintain detailed records of imaging, configuration, and deployment activities in the organization’sIT ticketing and asset management systems.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the onsite Lead Engineer, IT Operations, and End User Support teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of new systems.
  • Process Compliance: Adhere to established operational procedures for PC imaging, configuration requests, and fulfillment workflows.
  • Security and Quality Assurance: Ensure all devices and configurations comply withenterprise security protocols, patching standards, and quality control benchmarks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve imaging efficiency, reduce rework, and enhance user satisfaction through process and tool optimization.
