Job description

Supply Chain Procurement Analyst is a foundational role within the newly established Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE). Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain Procurement, this highly analytical role is responsible for transforming raw spend data into actionable strategic insights. The Analyst will own the data integrity, spend visibility, and market intelligence required to optimize the company's end-to-end value chain-encompassing private/dedicated fleet assets, global freight, 3PL providers, and Distribution Center (DC) infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver who can bridge the gap between complex ERP systems and executive-level sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Spend Visibility
  • Spend Aggregation: Extract, cleanse, and analyze multi-million dollar spend data across decentralized business units to identify consolidation opportunities and eliminate maverick spending.
  • Executive Dashboards: Maintain and optimize automated procurement dashboards utilizing Tableau/PowerBI to track key performance metrics and realized savings.
  • System Stewardship: Serve as a key functional user of the Oracle/SAP ERP systems, ensuring proper GL coding, requisition workflows, and taxonomy alignment.
  • Should-Cost Modeling: Conduct data-driven cost and market commodity index tracking to build predictive "should-cost" models for logistics, fleet maintenance, and material handling equipment (MHE).

Sourcing Support & RFQ Execution
  • RFQ/RFP Administration: Assist the Director in drafting, distributing, and managing formal Requests for Quote (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for indirect spend and capital projects.
  • Commercial Bid Analysis: Execute total cost of ownership (TCO) matrices to compare competing vendor bids on parameters beyond unit price, including lead times, freight costs, and payment terms.
  • AI Tool Integration: Pilot and leverage agentic AI sourcing tools to automate routine quote collection, requisition routing, and vendor intake processes.

Supplier Performance & Governance
  • SRM Scorecarding: Own the supplier relationship management (SRM) metric tracking, regularly auditing key 3PL, carrier, and MRO vendors against contract SLAs.
  • Compliance Auditing: Support regular performance and compliance audits, ensuring all active vendors possess up-to-date insurance certificates, safety records, and executed MSAs.
  • Contract Repository Management: Maintain the centralized digital contract library, monitoring auto-renewal deadlines, termination windows, and key liability/indemnity clauses.

Skills & Qualifications
Education & Certifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or Engineering.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CPIM, CSCP, or progress toward Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certifications.

Experience & Technical Expertise
  • Experience: 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in supply chain analytics, procurement, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
  • Advanced Data Skills: Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Power Query) and data visualization tools (Tableau or PowerBI).
  • System Knowledge: Hands-on experience operating within enterprise ERP environments (Oracle or SAP).

Core Competencies
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to synthesize complex, unvetted datasets into concise executive summaries and actionable insights. Use and leverage of AI is highly recommended and preferred.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to interface with DC General Managers, Finance analysts, and global vendor accounts.
  • Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in a high-growth, greenfield department environment where processes are being built from the ground up.
