Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to drive technology-enabled initiatives across a Private Markets platform, with a focus on Credit and Insurance strategies, for one of our top clients, a leading global asset management firm. The ideal candidate combines private markets or financial services expertise with a strong technical and product mindset, operating as a hands-on leader in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology and data initiatives that support investment, portfolio monitoring, and risk management for our client's Credit & Insurance business.
  • Define program scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define, prioritize, and execute technology and product initiatives that deliver measurable business value.
  • Translate strategic objectives from deal teams, underwriting, portfolio management, and operations into detailed project plans, business requirements, and execution roadmaps.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, data, operations, finance, and third-party vendors-to deliver high-impact solutions on time and within scope, leveraging tools such as JIRA, Sigma, and Excel for planning, tracking, and analysis.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and automation opportunities across investment operations, pipeline management, policy administration, and portfolio analytics, and drive pragmatic solutions from concept through implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution and successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Produce clear documentation, including business requirements, process flows, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support user training and change management.
  • Communicate program status, milestones, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Identify program risks and issues proactively and implement effective mitigation and contingency strategies.

Eligibility Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in fintech, financial services, or consulting (Private Credit experience is a plus) in roles such as Technical Project Manager, Program Manager, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts relevant to private credit and insurance, and how they translate into data, systems, and business processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives in a high-performance environment, ideally within a top-tier financial institution, private equity firm, private credit firm, or leading technology organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and consistently drives outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders and translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgment, and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior leaders, managing upward, and navigating competing priorities with maturity and discretion.

Required Skills & Tools
  • Proficiency with JIRA (or similar tools) for backlog management, sprint planning, project tracking, and status reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, portfolio modeling, KPI tracking, and business analysis.
  • Solid understanding of data architectures, APIs, integration patterns, and enterprise application ecosystems, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and data teams on solution design.
  • Working knowledge of common development languages and technologies, including Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, and .NET, with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams on design decisions, delivery, and implementation trade-offs.
  • Strong understanding of modern technology architectures, including cloud-native platforms, microservices, service-oriented architecture (SOA), data pipelines, and event-driven integrations.
  • Experience partnering with technology teams on API design, system integrations, data model reviews, technical requirements, solution architecture discussions, and end-to-end delivery across upstream and downstream platforms.
  • Familiarity with software delivery best practices, including Agile methodologies, SDLC governance, DevOps concepts, release planning, testing coordination, environment management, and production implementation readiness.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Sigma, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms to develop dashboards and self-service analytics for investment and insurance stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with credit products, including private credit and structured credit, and/or insurance business models such as life, property & casualty, or specialty lines, along with related underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management metrics.
  • Experience with platforms commonly used in private markets and financial services, including CRM systems, portfolio monitoring tools, data warehouses, and low-code platforms.

In the US, the target base salary for this role is $155,000-$175,000. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors
