About The Role:
As an Applications Senior Technical Program Leader:
  • Deliver on time technical outcomes respecting engineering gates milestones and established budget
  • This includes:
  • Accountable for the whole scope of technical activities in a project
  • Lead and synchronize R&D contributors - disciplines, for project targets achievement
  • Structures and assigns tasks to disciplines according to customer and project need
  • First technical contact of the project internally & externally
  • Control and Monitor R&D effort & costs. Strict control on Engineering Change Requests
  • Supervise R&D schedules in the project
  • Proactively control of technical project risks
  • Work on problem solving, focused on root cause analysis to find effective solutions
  • Accountable for technical issues escalation in the project and report progress in action plan
  • Arbitrating technical solutions with Discipline contributors when necessary

Responsibilities Also Include:
  • Act as the first technical contact of the project internally & externally .
  • Interface with the customer for the R&D subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of components for product development.
  • Ensure product development is completed within the defined budget, meeting the highest quality standards and design robustness.
  • Ensure the implementation and integration of standardized platform solutions within the project
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing active resolution plans.
  • Organize reviews and technical meetings, addressing key issues and ensuring alignment between stakeholders.
  • Monitor all topics from DRs, define action plans and ensure no late resolution • Work on problem solving, with the support of the disciplines, monitor the progress and ensure no late resolution
  • Report progress and escalate critical issues to the Project Manager or R&D Manager as required.
  • Adhere to the specified development processes to ensure compliance with organizational (PDP, CPM, ...) and industry standards (ASPICE, ...).

Accountable for the deliverables:
  • Organize, manage, control and monitor R&D deliverables per milestone according to PDP and CLPP with disciplines. Prepare deliverables reviews with Management on the required milestones (Raise Design Review, TMM, Engineering Gates Reviews)
  • Manage the Bill of Material and associated product cost: ask for DtC activity if deviation to respect BOM cost target.
  • Applies Standardization rules, exceptionally will request de-standardizations based on sound justifications

Responsible for the R&D detailed budgeting
  • Contribute to identifying R&D needs, including resources, equipment, and investments required for successful project execution for CAAV
  • Responsible for budgeted R&D hours approved in CAAV/Budget and/or IAR • Monitor and track R&D hours and EBOM baseline , ensuring alignment with CAAV/Budget along the project, developing "back-on-track" plans if deviations occur.
  • Identify and document Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) as needed during the project lifecycle. Ensure the consolidation and communicate their impacts to the PM. No work on change implementation should proceed unless the additional budget is approved by PMC and updated in STR.
  • Conduct monthly forecasts to estimate remaining work and ensure alignment with CAAV/Budget through the PRCL milestone.

Responsible for the detailed scheduling
  • Develop and manage the L2 schedule, ensuring R&D activities align with key customer and organizational milestones.
  • Develop a detailed breakdown of R&D activities to meet project milestones and align with the overall schedule.

Manage R&D contributors
  • Daily management of 1st level R&D contributors - disciplines dedicated to the project, assign to them the work packages and tasks needed, according to project needs and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Lead weekly R&D meetings with all contributors, focusing on key issues such as the SLI (Single List of Issues), schedule critical paths, and budget management. Documented discussions with clear meeting minutes.
  • Ensure synchronization between disciplines by coordinating internal milestones and maintaining alignment across teams.
  • Facilitate and arbitrate technical solutions in collaboration with discipline contributors when required.
  • Conduct regular reviews with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment between project needs, resource availability, and deliverable timelines.

What You Should Have:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable study paths (Preferred: M.S. in Electrical Engineering or comparable study paths)
  • A minimum of six (6) years of proven complex product / project development / management experience within multidisciplinary environment in Automotive electrification preferably for traction inverter
  • minimum of six (6) years of proven experience with power conversion and embedded software.
  • Experience in applying APQP product development cycle
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate projects, manage conflict and manage multiple issues at one time
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with all organizational levels
