JOB POSTING TITLEIT Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the implementation of high-priority technology projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing system-wide hardware and software modernization and integration projects, as well as demonstrated leadership in planning, design, and implementation of technological initiatives. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for developing user engagement strategies, managing service-level performance, and overseeing various technology upgrade projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise project teams, providing both individual and teamguidance to achieve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other project leaders and support activities led byother divisions.
  • Create a collaborative environment for project teams, encouragingknowledge sharing across disciplines.
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and manage team memberexpectations to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
  • Assemble and engage project teams, identify resources, assignresponsibilities, and develop timelines for successful project completion.
  • Conduct cost/benefit analysis for actions and initiatives as needed.
  • Organize and lead project meetings with internal and externalstakeholders and service providers.
  • Conduct technology needs assessments, prepare status reports, andmake recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior businessleadership, both verbally and in writing.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of both internal staff andexternal consultants assigned to project teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to project stakeholders, includingsenior leadership.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all teammembers, peers, supervisors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support network software, hardware, and upgrade projects asassigned.
  • Oversee additional data, network, and technology projects asdirected.

QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • Proven experience in project and team management, including theability to create collaborative team structures and successfully leadprojects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, withexperience engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills, strategic thinking abilities, andhigh professional ethics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith supervisors, leadership, associates, consultants, and vendors.
  • Knowledge and experience with network and software applications.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with social service, child welfaresystems, or City network and software applications.
  • Experience in supervising teams.
  • Proven experience in project management or relevant businessexperience.
  • Alternatively, 7-10 years of experience working with network andsoftware applications in related fields.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience deemedacceptable.
