About the Role
The Senior Technology Project Manager is an integral part of Latham's Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for overseeing large-scale, complex projects across multiple technology teams and departments, while leading cross-departmental projects that span different technology teams and departments, enhancing existing applications, products, processes, systems, and programs to align with organizational objectives, and delegating project tasks to Project Management Consultants and Advisors on sub-workstreams as required. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrating self-sufficiency in guiding complex, large-scale cross-departmental projects through all project lifecycle phases, from inception to conclusion
  • Delivering compelling project demonstrations and reports to large audiences, effectively conveying complex ideas and securing stakeholder support, while guiding stakeholders in identifying key milestones and dependencies for accurate progress evaluation, and escalating issues to technology leadership when needed
  • Developing standardized project management templates based on experience and training Project Management Office (PMO) team members in their use, ensuring a consistent project management approach, while educating and assisting technology teams in adopting standard project processes
  • Mentoring Project Management Consultants and Advisors, enhancing their capabilities in project management methodologies, best practices, and the use of project management tools
  • Introducing and sharing new innovations within the project management team, staying abreast of the latest project management theories and methodologies, and contributing to maintaining our project management system, including workflows, project schedules, and templates
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

We'd love to hear from you if you:
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the lifecycle and methodologies for software development technology projects
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in practical problem-solving and robust troubleshooting capabilities
  • Possess high analytical acumen for optimal solution determination on projects

And have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Management, or a related field, preferably
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) or a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
  • Technical certifications in relevant areas, such as Agile Certification, Scrum Master, and Lean Six Sigma, preferably
