Job description

Cloaked is a consumer privacy and identity platform on a mission to give people back control of their personal data. We let anyone generate unlimited identities - masked emails, phone numbers, and payment cards - scrub their information off data-broker sites, and shield themselves from spam, scams, and breaches, all from one app. Backed by a $375M Series B, we've protected 10M+ identities and removed 1B+ records from the data brokers who profit off personal information. Now we're building the AI-native future of privacy: autonomous agents that monitor, manage, and defend your digital footprint for you.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to be the technical leader alongside our enterprise and partnership sales org - from first discovery call through proof-of-concept, technical validation, pilot, and production rollout. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with Account Executives, Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer Success, turning messy enterprise privacy and security requirements into solutions customers actually deploy. Enterprise buyers purchase trust as much as they purchase technology - if you can earn both, come build with us!

What you'll do?

  • Own the technical thread on enterprise opportunities - discovery → executive demo → solution architecture → POC → deployment recommendation - and reduce implementation risk at every step.

  • Design customer solutions: analyze environments, review enterprise architectures, recommend integrations, evaluate security and privacy controls, and document designs that stay simple, scalable, and maintainable.

  • Run proofs of concept end to end. Define evaluation criteria, get success metrics agreed up front, coordinate internal resources, and clear blockers before they stall the deal.

  • Act as trusted advisor on privacy engineering, identity protection, enterprise security, AI governance, and employee protection - guidance tied to business outcomes, not feature lists.

  • Carry the field back to Product: competitive gaps, roadmap validation, beta programs, and the actual voice of the enterprise customer.

  • Build the enablement layer - reusable demos, technical collateral, seller training, event and analyst support - so the whole team communicates technical value consistently.

What skills and experiences will help you?

  • 7–10+ years in enterprise SaaS solution or sales engineering; cybersecurity, privacy, identity, or fraud prevention platforms a strong plus.

  • Deep in privacy-enhancing technologies - tokenization, masking, encryption, proxy identities, consent management, data minimization - and able to explain them to a CISO and an architect in the same hour.

  • Identity fluency: workforce and customer identity, federation, SSO, MFA, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and lifecycle management. IAM, PAM, or CIAM platform experience a plus.

  • Technically hands-on with enterprise architecture and integration - REST APIs, webhooks, auth patterns, and cloud-native deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Security grounding in Zero Trust, secure architecture, vulnerability management, and security operations; you can hold your own with a customer's security team.

  • Working knowledge of the frameworks that gate enterprise deals: ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2, NIST CSF / Privacy Framework, GDPR, HIPAA.

  • Track record of technical sales into Fortune 1000 organizations and presenting to CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, DPOs, and enterprise architects.

  • Fluent with AI tooling (Claude, ChatGPT) and conversant in enterprise AI architecture, AI governance, and agent identity.

  • Bonus: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CDPSE, CIPM, AIGP, or comparable certifications.

What do we like?

  • Sells trust, not features. Connects customer pain to measurable outcomes instead of running a feature tour.

  • Discovery-first. Structured questioning, real listening, and honest scoping of what we can and can't do today.

  • Owns the technical outcome. Follows commitments through to production and doesn't hand off at signature.

  • Builds the reusable thing. Improves the demo environment and shared assets, not just their own deals.

  • Executive presence without ego. Credible in front of a CISO, humble sitting next to an engineer.

  • Comfortable on a small team. Startup pace, shifting priorities, and work that's unglamorous as often as it's strategic.

  • Bonus: existing Cloaked user, or a clear point of view on where the privacy category is heading.

What we offer

Cloaked is a well-funded Series B startup based out of NYC.

Although we are a distributed team, the NYC team operates with a hybrid model. The office building is home to several amenities, including a gourmet cafe, cocktail bar, and a rooftop work area.

We have a fully built out kitchen packed with drinks and snacks. The Cloaked team has diverse interests and so we frequently embark on team outings and go out for socials!

Compensation and Benefits

We offer above market rate pay and equity based off of the market’s best commercially available data. Your compensation will be a combination of salary, bonus and equity.

Cloaked employees have 401K, as well as top of the line Health, Dental, and Vision benefits.

We offer flexible work arrangements and the ability to work remotely as needed. Cloaked provides a home office stipend in addition to a new company laptop (and other tech depending on the role).

Perks

Competitive PTO: We encourage employees to take a minimum # of vacation per quarter. We see PTO as a preventative burnout measure and are committed to changing the industry standard.

Monthly health stipend: Used for any kind of physical, mental or emotional care you’d like to take for yourself, be it a gym membership, a meditation app, or time with a personal trainer.

Late Night Meals: We understand that sometimes work can get in the way of meal prep. In response to that, we offer employees a monthly meal stipend to be used when they don’t have time to get a home cooked meal going!

Professional Growth: Opportunities for career development and personal growth are provided to all employees who seek to further their knowledge and capabilities through an unlimited professional development fund. Additionally team members are encouraged to regularly attend conferences and industry events.

We are really excited about having you join our mission-driven team and help us build the future of online privacy!
