Senior Palantir Foundry Reporting Solutions Engineer

Location : On-location at Pentagon (Hybrid eligible)

Position Overview

The Foundry Reporting & Data Platform Engineer supports the sustainment and evolution of an enterprise Palantir Foundry reporting environment supporting Department of Defense financial management and audit operations.

This position is responsible for maintaining reporting solutions, supporting data updates, troubleshooting reporting and data integration issues, and implementing enhancements as business requirements evolve. The successful candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, Palantir developers, data engineers, and functional users to ensure reporting solutions remain accurate, reliable, and responsive to changing mission needs.

This is primarily a sustainment and enhancement role rather than an initial application development position. The focus is on maintaining and improving an operational reporting environment while supporting continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance Palantir Foundry reporting solutions and dashboards.
  • Modify reports, dashboards, and visualizations based on evolving business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and data refresh failures.
  • Support onboarding of new data sources into existing reporting solutions.
  • Coordinate with data engineering teams to ensure data availability and quality.
  • Validate data quality and investigate anomalies affecting reports.
  • Test and validate reporting enhancements before production deployment.
  • Gather reporting requirements from government stakeholders and translate them into technical updates.
  • Optimize report performance and usability.
  • Document reporting logic, business rules, and data lineage.
  • Participate in release planning, change management, and production support.
  • Provide end-user support for reporting and dashboard issues.
Desired Technical Stack Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting or business intelligence environments.
  • Working knowledge of Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL.
  • Understanding of relational data models and data integration concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting reporting and data quality issues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government environments.
  • Experience supporting financial management, audit, or compliance reporting.
  • Experience with Python for scripting or data analysis.
